Tigress found dead in Corbett Tiger Reserve

DEHRA DUN: A tigress was today found dead in forests of Amsor in Corbett Tiger Reserve, an official said.

The carcass of nearly 11-year-old tigress was noticed by forest guards during patrolling this morning in Bijrani range, said C K Kavidayal, deputy director of CTR. The preliminary examination of the wildcat suggests that it died of natural causes, he said.

However, a post mortem is being conducted to ascertain the exact cause, Kavidayal said.
