Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 6: The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the schedule for the hugely anticipated Lok Sabha elections 2024 on Saturday, March 16. Overall, the Lok Sabha polls will be held in seven phases. The sixth phase of voting for the 18th Lok Sabha will happen on May 25th, with results expected to be announced on June 4th. This phase will cover 57 seats.

While unveiling the poll schedule, the Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that voting in the sixth phase will be held in 57 constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha and some regions of north India. Meanwhile, the gazette notification will be issued on April 29 and the polling will take place on May 25.

As far as the ruling dispensation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which is led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), it has set ambitious targets, aiming to secure 400 seats for the NDA and 370 seats independently. Meanwhile, the INDIA bloc has been facing troubles in various states, as AAP and Congress have decided to fight independently in Punjab, while Mamata Banerjee-led TMC has decided to go solo in the Lok Sabha elections.
