Beginning on April 19, India will hold polls to elect its 18th Lok Sabha. The world’s largest electoral exercise, which will last six weeks and seven phases, will see almost a billion people cast their vote. Four state assemblies — Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim — will also vote concurrently. Odisha polls will be held over four phases. The results will be declared on June 4.
