West Bengal polls: Suvendu Adhikari confident, confirms he is leading from Nandigram

West Bengal elections: Suvendu Adhikari said that BJP would get a clear majority and all Hindu votes have consolidated. He further said Muslim vote got divided and that votes have split in various districts.

Kolkata: Sitting Nandigram MLA and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Monday exuded confidence and confirmed that he is leading with 3500 votes from Nandigram.

Adhikari said that BJP will get a clear majority and all Hindu votes have consolidated.

Adhikari said Muslim vote has got divided and votes have split in various districts.


“After counting started, the political culture of the state should change,” BJP state President Samik Bhattacharya said.

BJP is leading in 80 seats and TMC in 72 seats and Congress in 2 seats and CPI-M in one as early trends coming in.

BJP Asansol candidate Agnimitra Paul leads with 6500 after the first round. In Raniganj seat, which was TMC' seat, BJP is leading. in Rezinagar, Humayun Kabir is leading.
