A list of people, who are intimidating the voters, has been prepared by the police observer Pal Sharma, and he has visited various villages of Falta Constituency today, with a huge CRPF force. This measure has been taken to maintain law and order and prevent voter intimidation in various super-sensitive pockets of Falta, ECI sources said. Trinamool Congress workers protested as Sharma was travelling in the villages.
Falta Trinamool Candidate Jahangir Khan said, "A police observer cannot give threats. He should contact the Police Superintendent and then reach the villages. He is going to my Anchal Presidents, our leaders and workers and intimidating us. If he is Singham, I am also Pushpa."

The video of Uttar Pradesh IPS officer Ajay Pal Sharma issuing a stern warning over alleged voter intimidation in West Bengal surfaced on social media and went viral. Sharma, posted as police observer in South 24 Parganas, acted after complaints that voters were being threatened in the Falta Assembly constituency.
