West Bengal CM and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday alleged bias by central forces as the state undergoes its second and final phase of polling, claiming that personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force were “securing one political party” instead of ensuring free and fair elections.

Speaking in Bhabanipur, Banerjee said voters who were standing in queues till the close of polling hours must be allowed to cast their ballots.

“Those who are standing in line till 6 pm must be allowed to vote. CRPF cannot torture people like this. There is no state police present. Instead of securing the borders, CRPF is securing one political party. I am sorry to say…” she said.
