West Bengal Election Result 2026 Live Counting

Early trends of Election Commission of India shows BJP is winning and stands at 205 seats in the West Bengal Assembly Election 2026 out of 249 seats’ trends counted. All India Trinamool Congress ( AITC ) is at 82. While Aam Janata Unnayan party (AJUP) and Indian National Congress have two seats each, with Communist Party of India (Marxist) - CPI(M) and All India Secular Front - AISF having one seat each.

Key leads across constituencies

The latest trends show BJP and its allies maintaining a strong lead across several regions of West Bengal, with particularly dominant margins in North Bengal, parts of the Dooars, and industrial belts. Massive leads are visible in constituencies like Siliguri, Phansidewa, Matigara-Naxalbari, Dabgram-Fulbari, and Jhargram, where margins cross the 40,000+ mark in some cases, indicating sweeping support in urban and tribal belts.

In South Bengal, strong performances are seen in Bankura, Asansol, Medinipur, and Purulia belts, where candidates are leading with substantial margins. Traditional battlegrounds like Nandigram, Ranaghat, and Krishnanagar also show decisive leads, reinforcing a broader consolidation trend.

While a few seats show tighter contests, the overall pattern suggests a wide geographical spread of leads with multiple high-margin victories emerging across districts.
