PM Narendra Modi's 'jhalmuri' stop a 'drama': Mamata Banerjee
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has labelled Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to a jhalmuri stall in Jhargram as a staged event. Banerjee claimed the Special Protection Group prepared the food and cameras were pre-installed. ...

"The SPG prepared the jhalmuri for him (Modi). A microphone was installed in the jhalmuri shop. It was a completely staged event. Had it been a spontaneous act, then how were cameras fitted inside the shop?" Banerjee said.
Banerjee's comment came a day after PM Modi, after his Jhargram public rally, went to a local shop to buy 'jhalmuri', a popular Bengali street food made of puffed rice, green chillies, and other spices.
"It's all drama. How come a camera was there when the Prime Minister suddenly made an unscheduled stop? The entire scene was scripted. He was seen carrying a ₹10 note in his pocket. Is it believable?" Banerjee said.
The chief minister was addressing a poll rally in Murarai assembly constituency in Birbhumm district.
