Bigger crowds in tea shops than in BJP meetings: Abhishek Banerjee

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) MP Abhishek Banerjee hit out at Union home minister Amit Shah, minutes after the latter cancelled his rally in Jhargram on Monday citing technical glitch in his helicopter, saying there are bigger crowds in tea shops than in the public meetings of BJP leaders.

Meanwhile, the CM rolled out her campaign in Purulia, the Scheduled Tribe dominated district that goes to the polls on March 27, asking people to “list all that the BJP MP has done for them in the last two years”. Speaking at Balarampur, she asserted she would continue her fight against the BJP “as long as her heart beats and vocal cords function”.
