BJP general secretary in-charge of West Bengal, Kailash Vijayvargiya, told ET that chief minister Mamata Banerjee is trying to gain sympathy by claiming that she was attacked.

“Mamata Didi thinks that by portraying an attack on a woman, she can get sympathy votes,” Vijayvargiya said. “The sad part is, after being CM for 10 years, she has to resort to such tactics to win people’s trust.” “The chief secretary is saying there was no attack.
