In a note, Nabanna, the state secretariat, in a note to Election Commission on Tuesday has informed that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had resigned from over 20 posts which she held in various committees as a Chief Minister.
An official said, EC had earlier disqualified Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan in 2006 as she was then heading the UP film development council.

The Chief Minister has also resigned as Chairperson of State Board for Wildlife; WB State Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management & Planning Authority, WB Eco-Tourism Advisory Board Chairperson.
