ECI constitutes 19 Appellate Tribunals for Bengal, first supplementary list of SIR after adjudication likely on Monday
Meanwhile, the first supplementary list is likely to be published on Monday afternoon, followed by the second supplementary list may be published next Friday.

According to Election Commission sources, supplementary lists for approximately 40,000 booths have been prepared. The total 27.23 lakh cases have been adjudicated by the judicial officers appointed by the Calcutta High Court.
Following the order Supreme Court and as recommended by Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court, the Election Commission of India constituted the Appellate Tribunals for 19 district for “hearing appeals against orders passed by the designated Judicial Officers in respect of inclusion or exclusion of prospective electors” in the electoral roll of West Bengal. Gazette notification of the order has to be done by the state government, ECI said.
Others include former Judge Tapen Sen, former Judge Pranab Kumar Deb, former Judge Prabhat Kumar Dey, former Judge Raghunath Ray, former Judge Ashoke Kumar Dasadhikari, former Judge Dipak Saha Ray, former Judge Anindita Roy Saraswarti among others, according to EC.

Following the publication of the supplementary electoral roll, appellant may file appeals against the orders passed by the designated Judicial Officers in accordance with this notification, ECI said as seen by ET.
The appeal may be filed online or through the ECI NET platform at: ecinet.eci.gov.in or physically, at the office of the DM/SDM/SDO, who will ensure “digitization and uploading of the appeal on the ECI NET platform at the earliest.”
This notification shall come into force with immediate effect and the above tribunal shall cease to exist immediately after all appeals are disposed of in the respective districts, EC said.
