Union home minister Amit Shah said that West Bengal is heading for a BJP government on May 5 and once it comes to power, all border areas would be fenced within 45 days and the goons who tortured BJP workers in the post-poll violence would be punished.

Speaking at a rally in Birbhum's Mayureswar, he said: "People will not be scared of Didi's goons or of bomb blasts. They will give their reply through the ballot. All 11 seats in Birbhum will be won by BJP. People tortured by the syndicate raj are ready to remove Banerjee."

Shah asked all Trinamool goons to shut themselves inside their homes on April 23, the first day of polling, failing which strict action would be taken against them after BJP comes to power. "In Birbhum's Nanoor, Labhpur and Mayureswar, our workers were tortured during poll violence. I promise my BJP workers to put all the culprits behind bars. Birbhum is the hub of corruption and extortion," he said.

"Didi blames everyone for corruption and extortion. She blames PM for stopping MGNREGA funds and BSF for infiltration. She is doing drama for sympathy... During your regime, riots happened..."

Alleging Humayun Kabir is Banerjee's ally, he said there should be no Babri Masjid in the state.
