Kolkata: The Enforcement Agencies have been directed to intensify their activities add more manpower if necessary from outside by Election Commissionof India ( ECI), at a high-level meeting, where all the Enforcement agencies were present, in a meeting with top-level ECI officials ahead of West Bengal Assembly polls on Thursday.

A meeting was held in Calcutta High Court over appointment of judicial officers and resolving the adjudication cases. Meanwhile, a 13-member Election Commission of India (ECI) full bench will be visiting Kolkata from March 8-10 to review the poll preparedness for the 2026 assembly polls in West Bengal. The full bench has already visited Tamil Nadu and Assam.

The full bench will review the preparations for the assembly elections which will be held from March 8 to 10. The Election Commission has written to the state's Chief Electoral Officer.


The Commission officials will reach the city on March 8.

On March 9, an all-party meeting with recognized political parties from 10 am for two hours.

The Full bench will have a series of meetings to discuss details about poll preparations for the elections. Series of meetings will be held with the officials of various enforcement agencies, IG, DIG, Police Commissioner, District Magistrate and Superintendents of Police.

On March 10, the meetings with the state's Chief Electoral Officer, State Police Nodal Officer, and CAPF Nodal Officers in the morning. The full bench will also hold meeting with the state's Chief Secretary, State Police DG and other administrative officials. Discussions will be held with BLOs

Full Bench of Election Commission will include a 13-member delegation, led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, S.S. Sindhu, Election Commissioner, Vivek Joshi, Election Commissioner Vivek Joshi, Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Manish Garg, Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Pawan Kumar Sharma, DG Ashish Goel, Deputy Director P. Pawan, Deputy Director Apurva Kumar Singh and Ranjit Kumar Srivastava, Video Editor.

Gyanesh Bharti, Senior Deputy Election Commissioner and S.B. Joshi, Principal Secretary, Manoj C, Director among others.
