Kolkata: Supplementary voter lists for over 7,000 booths have been prepared, with work underway for the remaining booths out of a total 80,681 across the state. So far, the status of 25.34 lakh voters has been disposed of, Election Commission sources said.

Officials indicated that if the remaining lists are finalised, publication could take place as early as Friday, though the final call will rest with the Calcutta High Court.

The supplementary electoral roll after adjudication is nearing readiness, with the Election Commission of India (ECI) putting the required infrastructure in place. Multiple rounds of meetings were held from Thursday morning involving CEO Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Special Rolls Observer, Chief Justice Sujoy Paul, and senior state officials.
