UP Election 2022: 1st phase voting begins for 58 seats, 623 candidates in fray

Voting for the first phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2022 began at 7 am on Thursday. 58 of the 403 UP Assembly constituencies go to the polls today. The districts that will face the ballot today as part of UP election 2022 include - Mathura, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahar, Hapur, Shamli, Baghpat, Aligarh, Agra, and Gautam Buddha Nagar. Today's voting will decide the fate of 623 candidates. A total of 2.27 crore eligible voters are expected to vote in the first phase of the UP election 2022.
