After trying hard to get a response from his estranged nephew Akhilesh Yadav on the possibility of tying up for the Uttar Pradesh elections , Shivpal Singh Yadav
has said he is giving up.

"It is enough, now I am ready for the battle. I am tired of waiting endlessly for a response," IANS quoted him as saying in Etawah on Wednesday.

Shivpal Yadav said his Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia (PSPL) will take out a 'Samajik Parivartan Yatra' from Vrindavan on October 12. Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party is launching its 'Samajwadi Vijay Yatra' on the same day.

He said the SP chief had not been answering his calls and messages, adding, "The Pandavas had merely asked for five villages and had given the entire kingdom to Kauravas. Similarly, I just asked for honour and dignity but some people are not even ready for this."

" I even said on November 22, 2020 that if this is the desire, we will not even contest elections. Even today I had called and messaged him (Akhilesh) that it is necessary to talk to defeat the BJP, but he has not replied," Shivpal Yadav said.
