Congress won't form alliance with any party in Uttar Pradesh, says Salman Khurshid
The Congress is set to contest all 403 Assembly seats in the state, under the stewardship of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Khurshid said, however, that they haven't made a decision on the Chief Ministerial candidate.

"The party will not form alliance with anyone. We will contest the elections with firm belief. Party workers will go to each constituency to know the problems being faced by the local people, " Khurshid told PTI.
The Congress is set to contest all 403 Assembly seats in the state, under the stewardship of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Khurshid said, however, that they haven't made a decision on the Chief Ministerial candidate.
Khurshid, formerly a Union Minister, stressed the importance of his party's manifesto, saying it covered diverse voices.
"The party members have been visiting assemblies and trying to contact people and know problems being faced by the locals," Khurshid said.
The Congress leader was in Agra - working on the manifesto - accompanied by Congress National Spokesperson Supriya Shrinet.
"We have visited other districts such as Ayodhya, Jhansi, Gorakhpur, etc and on Sunday in Agra, interacted with the natives of Tora village. People complained about several issues such as pension for widows and old people," he told reports in Agra.
Shrinet criticised the ruling party over the farmers' agitation. "Both central and state governments have forgotten their duty and are exploiting the common people," she said.
"Congress supports them in their struggle," Khurshid added.
