BJP plans to organise several programmes in the coming days. As ET had reported, there would be caste-specific meetings from next week. UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath and state BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh will continue to hold meetings in seats the BJP lost in 2017. A drive to add at least 25 lakh new members will be undertaken. BJP contends it has 1.5 crore members in UP. The party workers will reach out to all members and update their information. A number will be released for people to give 'missed calls' to become a member.
UP additional chief secretary, information, Navneet Sehgal, was seen at the meeting. Sehgal handles the government publicity and information. The slogan 'Soch Imandar, Kaam Damdar, Yogi Sarkar' will be used in upcoming advertisements and election posters. The party is also planning a mega show in Kushinagar on October 20, where PM Modi will inaugurate the Kushinagar international airport.
