BJP raided its own man by mistake, says Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav
The huge recovery of cash and gold worth Rs 257 crore at Piyush Jain's house has become the latest political hotball between the BJP and the SP ahead of the polls.

He told reporters that UP CM Yogi Adityanath's allegations that the money unearthed is linked to the SP in some way -- a claim which found support from PM Modi on Tuesday -- was the "biggest lie".
"BJP has raided its own man. Get his call detail records out. They wanted to raid the residence of Pushparaj Jain but ended up raiding Piyush Jain.. seems like a Digital India faux pas," Yadav said. He alleged that Jain is linked to the BJP instead adding that when it was the BJP-ruled government that owned the railways, air routes etc via which the money could have travelled, it is not possible for that money to belong to the SP.
"So much cash has never been unearthed in UP. It is the people in government who can tell where it came from and the banks... but will the government admit to what the traders and common man said about demonetisation doing no good -- that it has failed, that the way GST should have been implemented (was not right), it has not," Yadav said.
