"This time, when the government comes to power, UCC will be implemented in Uttar Pradesh. UCC has already been implemented in many states," Shah said, expressing confidence that the BJP would return to power for a third consecutive term in next year's Assembly elections. He invoked the October 30, 1990, firing on kar sevaks in Ayodhya to target Samajwadi Party and draw a contrast with BJP's construction of the Ram Temple.
Shah claimed that incidents of dacoity, robbery, extortion and riots had declined significantly since Adityanath became CM. He also said Uttar Pradesh had recorded the best implementation of the Modi government's welfare schemes.
Taking a swipe at SP president Akhilesh Yadav, Shah said the party would remain out of power in the state for the next 30 years and that people would not forgive even the third generation of its leadership.
