Akhilesh & I will form true double engine govt: RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary

Addressing their first joint rally in Meerut on Tuesday, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Chaudhary announced that they will contest the election together to remove the BJP from power and form the next government in the state.

“The farmer legacy will be taken forward by two young leaders.We will create a separate fund for farmers if we come to the government to make timely payments for their sugarcane,” Yadav said. However, neither of the two leaders announced the seat-sharing formula between the two parties.

“Akhilesh ji and I are moving together, and we will form a double engine government in the true sense. We will build a memorial for those farmers who died during the farmers’ agitation in Meerut,” Chaudhary told the crowd. The two leaders will address another rally in Aligarh on December 23.
