Telangana polls: Here is how to check live status of polling booth in Hyderabad

In a big update, Telangana is set to introduce the 'Queue Live' initiative for the first time. Hyderabad district election wing officials have unveiled this innovative measure, allowing voters to stay informed about the number of people waiting in line at polling stations.

Implemented through the 'My GHMC' app and GHMC website, this initiative covers all polling stations across the 15 assembly constituencies in the Hyderabad district, providing real-time updates on voter queues on November 30.

According to Anudeep Durishetty, Hyderabad collector and deputy district election officer, a designated presiding or sectoral officer will oversee the live queue at each booth during the polling day, updating the voter count hourly. He stated, "Voters can access the URL link on the website or the app to view the estimated time for the completion of the queue. This allows voters to check the rush before heading to the polling stations."


Upon opening the URL, voters can observe the live queue and are prompted to select details such as constituency and polling station name. Additionally, the 'Queue Live' feature provides guidance to voters on reaching the polling station using Google Maps, with a corresponding link available on the app and website.

This initiative aims to enhance transparency and efficiency in the voting process, empowering voters with crucial information to make informed decisions. As Telangana embraces this technological advancement, it marks a significant step towards ensuring a smoother and more accessible electoral experience for its citizens.
