​​​Rahul Gandhi is jobless today because he lost his job in 2014: KT Rama Rao

Taking a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Telangana Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA KT Rama Rao said that Rahul Gandhi is jobless because he lost his job in 2014.

"Rahul Gandhi is jobless today because he lost his job in 2014. He and his party both lost their job in 2014. That's why today he remembered unemployment... I want to ask if Rahul Gandhi has ever written a single entrance exam? Has he even worked in a job for a single day in the private sector or some other place," Rama Rao said.



Rama Rao also attacked Congress for disrespecting former Prime Minister of India and veteran Congress leader Late PV Narsimha Rao, who hailed from erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. Launching an attack on Congress, Rao said that "such a humble human being who served Telangana all his life had been insulted in such a humiliating fashion by the Congress party. As an incumbent Prime Minister, he was rejected a party ticket to become a Member of Parliament in 1996.

"After he passed away, his body was not even allowed to be brought to 24 Akbar road in AICC head office," he added.

Earlier Congress had attacked the BRS government for rising unemployment Telangana.

"Since the formation of the new state, the overwhelming bulk of investment and employment growth has been in and around Hyderabad, confined to the periphery of the Outer Ring Road built during the 2004-2009 Congress regime. The foundations for Hyderabad as an IT destination was laid much before KCR and KTR came onto the scene," Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said.

"But the reality now is that per capita income in 30 of 33 districts in Telangana is well below the state average. This has defeated the very purpose of creating the state," the Rajya Sabha MP said.

He said, "All regions of the state must and will get developed, like Hyderabad has. While Brand Hyderabad will continue to be nurtured, Brand Telangana will be given the importance it deserves. This is our guarantee."
