According to Election Commission results, Madhar Badhurudeen of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has won the Madurai Central seat with 63,414 votes, securing a margin of 19,128 votes.
He defeated Palanivel Thiaga Rajan of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), who polled 44,286 votes, marking a notable result in the constituency.
