Stating that TVK would also need the support of AIADMK, Elangovan said, "I do not know what instructions were given to the AIADMK by the BJP."
The DMK leader added that "if the AIADMK does not support Vijay, there will be a hung Assembly and fresh elections may have to be held."
Concerning the DMK's defeat in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, he said, "There was something wrong, which we are looking into."
He added that coming to power is not the DMK's only agenda and noted that the party has been in power for several decades.
Elangovan also alleged that the BJP does not want the DMK to come to power.
"The BJP tried to create mischief in Tamil Nadu because it cannot come to power," he claimed.
