DMK alleges foul play after Income Tax raids on party leader EV Velu

DMK chief MK Stalin was seen campaigning for Velu in Tiruvannamalai at the same time that the search took place at more than 10 locations, including his college, where Stalin had stayed the night on Wednesday.

An Income Tax team searched former DMK minister EV Velu's house in Alwarpet in Chennai on Thursday,as part of searches across TN including at Tiruvannamalai.
The Income Tax Department on Thursday raided senior Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader EV Velu’s residence in Tiruvannamalai. Velu, a five-time legislator and former Tamil Nadu food minister, is contesting the election from Tiruvannamalai.

DMK chief MK Stalin was seen campaigning for Velu in Tiruvannamalai at the same time that the search took place at more than 10 locations, including his college, where Stalin had stayed the night on Wednesday.

The DMK lashed out at the BJP, calling the raids politically motivated while also saying that it was an abuse of power by the ruling party at the Centre
