AIADMK's list of 171 nominees out, constituencies for allies PMK, BJP identified
Assembly Speaker P Dhanapal, several ministers, including S P Velumani, P Thangamani, K A Sengottaiyan, and former ministers such as B V Ramana and TKM Chinnayya find a place in the list of candidates.

Together with its first list of six candidates, the AIADMK would be in fray in 177 constituencies and its partners in 43 while 14 more seats are yet to be allocated.
It has given tickets to 26 ministers, leaving out just four ministers – Nilofer Kafeel, G Baskaran, R Kamaraj and S Valarmathi.
The prominent names who made it to the list are ministers SP Velumani, Thangamani, Mafoi Pandiarajan, Dindugal Sreenivasan, MC Sampath, C Vijayabhaskar and Sengottaiyan as well as others such as BV Ramana, JCD Prabhakar, Gokula Indira, Valarmathi, KP Munusamy, Pollachi Jayaraman, OS Manian and sitting MP Vaithialingam.
The ruling party released its candidate list a day after the DMDK walked out of the alliance which led to talks extending till late on Tuesday night to finalise the list.
Meanwhile, there was speculation on Wednesday that the DMDK could join hands with Kamal Haasan's MNM or even TTV Dhinakaran's AMMK.
AMMK general secretary Dhinakaran too released the first list of his party’s candidates for the upcoming polls on Wednesday.
The list contained the names of former ministers, former MLAs and a former MP.
