NEW DELHI: With less than 10 days left for campaigning in Rajasthan, the BJP has now deployed its central leadership in full force in Rajasthan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will campaign for five days starting Wednesday. On November 15, he will address a rally in Baytu, Barmer. On November 18, he will address two rallies in Nagaur and Bharatpur and on November 20, he will address a rally in Pali.

There are two roadshows planned for Modi in Jaipur and Jodhpur. On November 22, Modi will hold a roadshow in Jaipur covering four assembly constituencies. On the last day of campaign, that is on November 23, Modi will hold a roadshow in Jodhpur, the home turf of chief minister Ashok Gehlot covering the old town area.


Union home minister Amit Shah will also campaign for five days starting November 16. The details of his programme are yet to be finalised but sources told ET that he will be in the state on November 16 and 17. In the second phase of his campaign, Shah will hold public meetings and roadshows on the last three days of the campaign from November 21 to November 23.

BJP national president JP Nadda will campaign in the state on November 17 and November 18 and address several public meetings. In the next phase, Nadda will campaign for three days from November 20.

BJP has included several state party leaders in the star campaigner list. However, many of them are caught up with their own campaigns. The list includes former BJP president Satish Poonia, leader of the opposition Rajendra Rathor, party MP Rajyavardhan Rathor and Diya Kumari. Poonia is largely focusing on his constituency Amer while Rajendra Rathor is busy with his election campaign in Tarapur. Rajyavardhan Rathor and Diya Kumari are also spending time in their respective seats of Jhotwara and Vidhyanagar.

Although former chief minister Vasundhara Raje is campaigning, sources told ET that she is mostly going to campaign in seats where the party candidates are directly asking her to campaign. Raje will campaign in six constituencies on Wednesday and Thursday addressing two public meetings on Wednesday and four on Thursday.

Union minister Gajendra Shekhawat is addressing three to four public meetings as well as doing Jan Sampark in a few constituencies.
