Rajasthan: Congress promises interest-free loan to farmers, caste census, 10 lakh jobs in manifesto

Just four days ahead of polls, ruling Congress today released the manifesto for Rajasthan elections. In major promises, Congress has promised Rs 2 lakh interest-free loan to farmers, MSP as per Swaminathan commission report. The party has vowed to conduct caste census in the state.

Releasing the manifesto in Jaipur, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said the the party makes promises that we can fulfiled. Congress has promised new scheme for recruitment at panchayat level and caste census in Rajasthan election manifesto.

Speaking on the occasion, state Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the Rajasthan economy will be Rs 15 lakh crore by year end. He said the party targets to take it to Rs 30 lakh crore by 2030. "Congress will create 10 lakh job opportunities in 5 years in Rajasthan, including 4 lakh government jobs," Kharge said.


Congress is eyeing a second consecutive term in the state which has a tradition of the alternate party government for the last three decades.
