The BJP leadership on Monday began discussions on CMs for Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. The discussions remained inconclusive though several meetings took place between top leaders throughout the day.

BJP chief JP Nadda met Amit Shah and later BJP's Rajasthan unit chief CP Joshi and general secretary Arun Singh met top party leaders. Meanwhile, several newly elected BJP MLAs met former CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia in Jaipur. She is one of the contenders for the CM post.

BJP sources said the party might ask all four MPs from Rajasthan elected to the assembly to resign their Parliament membership. However, it is not certain if any of them would become CM. Out of the seven MPs, including one from the Rajya Sabha who contested, three lost elections. Diya Kumari, Mahant Balaknath, Rajyavardhan Rathore and Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Lal Meena had won the assembly polls.
