BJP govt will stop all welfare schemes if voted to power in Rajasthan: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has expressed his concerns about the possible consequences of a BJP government coming into power in Rajasthan. Addressing a public meeting in Taranagar of Churu district, he said that if the BJP comes to power in Rajasthan, they would discontinue the welfare schemes currently being run by the Congress, such as the pension scheme, health insurance scheme, subsidised cylinders, and annual assistance for women. According to Gandhi, a BJP government would prioritize assisting billionaires instead.

On the other hand, Gandhi highlighted the benefits that the poor, farmers, and small traders would receive if the Congress were voted back into power in the state. He promised that farmers' loans would be waived off and that small traders would be supported. He urged the audience to consider whether they wanted a government that favored Adani, a billionaire, or a government that prioritized the welfare of farmers, laborers, and youth.

Gandhi also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "guarantees," suggesting that Modi's guarantees were primarily for the benefit of Adani. In contrast, he argued that the Congress government would focus on improving the lives of farmers, laborers, and youth. Gandhi claimed that while the BJP helps Adani purchase foreign companies, the Congress ensures that money is transferred into the pockets of farmers.


It is evident that Gandhi's speech highlighted the fundamental differences between the Congress and the BJP, emphasizing the Congress's commitment to the welfare of the poor and farmers. The upcoming elections will determine which path the people of Rajasthan choose for their state's future.
