JAIPUR: Congress general secretary Ashok Gehlot upped the ante against Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje blaming her for the state of ‘complete misgovernance’ in Rajasthan. He said that the state has slipped into financial mess with burden of loan doubling from Rs 1.17 lakh crore in 2012-13 to Rs 3.08 crore in 2018-19 budget estimates.

“During Gaurav Yatra, Raje is announcing freebies to the public without any budgetary provisions.

This is going to put unnecessary financial burden on public,’ he said.

He accused Raje of misleading youth over job creations. He said that the chief minister had promised 15 lakh jobs for youth during last election campaign.

“CM claims creation of 16 lakh jobs. However, CAG, in its report has found that out of 1,27,817 youth trained by RSLDC, only 42,758 could get a job, which later on physical verification turned out to be just 9,904. The unemployment rate of Rajasthan is alarming at 10% as against national average of 6%,” he said. He said that the law and order situation in the state has worsened during her rule.
