Bhagwant Mann meets Punjab Governor, stakes claim to form govt; to take oath as CM on March 16

Punjab Chief Minister-designate and Aam Aadmi Party leader Bhagwant Mann on March 12 met Governor Banwarilal Purohit at Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh and staked a claim to form the government in the state. He said, “I met Governor and handed over a letter of support from our MLAs and staked claim to form Government. He told me to tell him wherever AAP wants to hold a swearing-in ceremony. It will be held at the native village of Bhagat Singh, Khatkar Kalan at 12.30 pm on March 16.”
