Azad, Tewari kept out of Punjab star campaigners list
Azad had figured in the Congress 'star campaigners' list for UP poll which was released days before the Centre conferred him with the Padma Bhushan. The Gandhis, Manmohan Singh are among the names in the list of Punjab campaigners.

Congress change-seekers Ghulam Nabi Azad and Manish Tewari were conspicuously missing in the AICC list of 30 Congress star campaigners for Punjab polls, whereas Anand Sharma and BS Hooda were included. Tewari, incidentally, is the only elected Hindu MP in the Lok Sabha from Punjab. Azad had figured in the Congress 'star campaigners' list for UP poll which was released days before the Centre conferred him with the Padma Bhushan. The Gandhis, Manmohan Singh are among the names in the list of Punjab campaigners.
