No potholes on road in six months if BJP comes to power in Mizoram: Rajnath Singh

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inked agreement with Japan to improve the road connectivity in the Northeast India.

"One cannot say if roads are in potholes or potholes in the road in Mizoram," Rajnath said.
Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that there will no potholes in Mizoram in six month if BJP comes to power in the state.

Addressing three election rallies in the Bru inhabited areas, Singh said roads in Mizoram are such that one cannot identify between roads and potholes. "One cannot say if there is roads in potholes or potholes in the road in Mizoram," Rajnath said.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inked agreement with Japan to improve the road connectivity in the Northeast India.


Singh said Prime Minister is giving impetus to connectivity in Northeast India be railway or air connectivity.

"We have taken pledge to oust the Congress government," he said.

Even opposition Mizo national Front has made the road condition of Mizoram as an election issue.
