Mizoram Exit Poll of polls: ZPM likely to outshine ruling MNF & Congress
The incumbent Chief Minister, Zoramthanga's Mizo National Front (MNF), could lose power to the emerging Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) in Mizoram and Congress.
As per Jan Ki Baat poll predictions MNF could get between 10-14 seats, ZPM 15-25, Congress 5-9 and BJP 0-2 out of 40 seats, where majority mark is 21.
Meanwhile, India TV-CNX has predicted tough fight between MNF and ZPM. MNF could get 14-18 seats, ZPM 12-16, Congress 8-10 and BJP 0-2.
ABP-CVoter predictions show MNF emerging victorious on 15-21 seats, ZPM on 12-18 and Congress could win between 2-8 seats. Meanwhile, Republic-Matrize gives edge to MNF with 17-22 seats, ZPM 7-12 and Congress 7-10 seats.
The MNF, along with the primary opposition party, the ZPM, and the Congress, have each fielded 40 candidates. A total of 174 candidates, including 18 women, are in the fray for the Mizoram Assembly Election 2023.
