Lalduhoma to take over as Mizoram chief minister on Friday

ZPM leader Lalduhoma will take over as Mizoram chief minister on Friday. After he staked claim on Wednesday, governor Hari Babu Kambhampati invited him to form the next government. In his first promise as CM-designate, Lalduhoma said that the policy on management and care of refugee followed by the previous government, would continue.

The swearing-in ceremony is likely to take place on Friday.

After meeting the governor, Lalduhoma said: "We spoke about the formation of a new government. He appointed me as CM and asked me to form the government, which will be done on Friday. Next week, we will hold the first session".


The Governor had conveyed his full cooperation to the new government during the discussions.
