Pune election results 2024: Who is winning in Baramati, Kothrud, Pune Cantonment, Shivajinagar and other 17 seats?

With stakes at an all time high to decide on the fate Pawars, Senas and Congress-BJP, Pune has emerged a key battleground for the Maharashtra assembly polls. The results for the Pune district that involves 21 seats will be announced on November 23.

Among 21 seats, Baramati will be closely watched as this is where the NCP against NCP battle will be held. Ajit Pawar, who leads his faction of NCP, is fighting against his own nephew Yuvendra Pawar, making this seat one of the high profile dynasty battles of all time.

Moving on from Baramati, other key seats in the district are Kasba Peth, Kothrud, Pune Cantonment, Shivajinagar. In Kasba Peth, the key contenders are Hemant Rasane from the BJP and Ravindra Dhangekar from the Congress. In Kothrud, BJP's Chandrakant Patil is up against Shiv Sena's Chandrakant Mokate. Pune Cantonment sees BJP’s Sunil Kamble competing with Congress’s Ramesh Bhagwe. In Shivajinagar, BJP’s Siddharth Shirole is facing Congress’s Dattatrey Bahirat. Finally, in Baramati, a stronghold of the Pawar family, the contest is intense between Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and his nephew Yugendra Pawar.

The voting was conducted on November 20 and results will be announced on November 23.
