The Sharadchandra Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party released its second list of 22 candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly Polls. Among the candidates is 43-year-old MLA Sandeep Kshirsagar from Beed, representing the the same in the November 20 elections.

Meanwhile, Satish Chavan will be contesting from the Gangapur seat.



Ahead of assembly elections, former Mumbai Youth Congress president Zeeshan Siddiqui joined Ajit Pawar-led NCP after murder of former Maharashtra Minister and father Baba Siddique.

The party has fielded Zeeshan Siddiqui as party candidate from Bandra East Constituency.

"This is an emotional day for me and my family. I am thankful to Ajit Pawar, Praful Patel, Sunil Tatkare for believing in me in these tough times. I have got the nomination from Bandra East, I am sure that with the love and support of all the people, I will definitely win Bandra East ye again..." said Zeeshan Siddiqui.

Maha Vikas Aghadi seat-sharing

Earlier on Saturday, it's allies Congress also released its second list of candidates for the polls. The party fielded Anuja Kedar, wife of MLA Sunil Kedar who was convicted and subsequently disqualified in a corruption case, from Savner.

Additionally, Girish Pandey has bagged a ticket from Nagpur South. From Shrirampur seat, Lahu Kanade who was the sitting MLA has been dropped for Hemant Ogale.

The MVA alliance revealed its seat-sharing arrangement for 255 constituencies, assigning 85 seats to each party. The remaining 23 seats in the state Assembly will be allocated based on their respective party candidate lists.

Both the ruling Mahayuti alliance and the opposition MVA -- comprising the Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and Congress -- have intensified their preparations for the upcoming elections to 288 Assembly seats in the State.

The Maharashtra Assembly elections are scheduled for November 20, with counting for all 288 constituencies set for November 23.
