The BJP on Monday announced four constituencies that will share seats with in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections.

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale-led Republican Party Of India (Athawale) will field candidate from Kalina, Yuwa Swabhiman Party will fight from Badnera, Rashtriya Samaj Party has got Gangakhed and the Jan Surajya Shakti Party will contest from Shahuwadi.

Earlier on Monday, the BJP on Monday released its third list for the forthcoming Maharashtra assembly elections, scheduled for November 20, featuring 25 candidates.



On Saturday, the saffron party had released its second list with 22 names, while the first one featured as many as 99 names.

Both the ruling Mahayuti alliance and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), which includes the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction), NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and Congress, are making extensive efforts to secure victory in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections.

The BJP is a key member of the ruling Mahayuti alliance, which also consists of the Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP.

The elections for the Maharashtra Assembly are set for November 20, with vote counting for all 288 constituencies scheduled for November 23.

In the previous assembly elections held in 2019, the BJP won 105 seats, while the Shiv Sena secured 56 seats and the Congress captured 44. In 2014, the BJP achieved 122 seats, the Shiv Sena won 63, and the Congress gained 42 seats.
