The Congress has released its third list of 16 candidates on Saturday taking its total candidate list to 87. The party is said to declare at least another 14 or 16 candidates however the list could not be released as the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Sena faction and Sharad Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party have laid claim on their seats.

From Khamgaon the Congress has given Rana Dalipkumar Sanada, Hemant Chimote has been given a ticket from Melghat, Manohar Poreti from Gadchiroli, Manikrao Thakre from Digras. It has given a ticket to its long time Maharashtra spokesperson Sachin Sawant from Andheri west. While there was speculation that Priya Dutt would come out of retirement and contest the elections in Bandra west constituency the seat has gone to Asif Zakaria. Earlier in the morning the Congress had released its list of 23 candidates.
