The Maharashtra Assembly election results came as a shocker for Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar, while the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) not only suffered a big blow but also failed to open its account. Even the Congress did badly, with its state chief, Nana Patole, himself losing the election, though by 660-odd votes.
