Campaign for all candidates: Uddhav Thackeray urges MVA allies

Mumbai: In a sign of growing tensions within the MVA, Uddhav Thackeray urged allies to help each other's candidates during campaigning irrespective of the political party or else risk straining relations.

"Praniti is not here today; I believe she is in Vidarbha campaigning, but I want to tell her that you should also enter into the campaign (to canvass votes for UBT candidate). I remember, I myself had campaigned for Praniti (during Lok Sabha polls in Solapur) after her father Sushil Kumar Shinde requested me... All these people worked for you; today you need to work for them," said Uddhav said at a rally in Solapur.

"As an alliance if we need to maintain our relations to extern the BJP and its allies, then the unity that we have should not be broken by such acts," the UBT Shiv Sena chief said.


Uddhav was miffed as the Congress leadership in Solapur is not supporting UBT candidate from Solapur South, Amar Patil on the ground.
