The BJP has announced tickets for 228 of the 230 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh. Since ticket distribution is almost over, the party has moved quickly to the next stage of nomination filing and campaigning.

Senior BJP leaders have now become active in the state to present a united face to the public. In this regard, Union minister Amit Shah is set to start a three-day trip from October 28. Besides addressing rallies and roadshows, Shah will interact with party workers from the 230 assembly constituencies, people in the know told ET.

On October 28, he will start his day with a workers meeting in Jabalpur, in which party cadres from 38 assembly seats will be present. Shah will then head to Chhindwara for a public rally, the people cited earlier said, adding that in the evening, he will be in Bhopal to conduct a meeting of workers from 36 assembly constituencies of Bhopal-Narmadapuram.


On Sunday, apart from attending meetings of Sagar, Riwa and Shahdol division, he will participate in a roadshow in Ujjain. On the last day of his trip, Shah is expected to focus on the Gwalior-Chambal region.

Meanwhile, Union minister Rajnath Singh is set to begin his Indore visit on October 29. While inaugurating election offices of Kailash Vijayvargiya, he will also address party workers there, according to the sources. Senior leaders from the state, too, have now gotten involved in the campaign. Several leaders, including Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Patel and Kaliash Vijayvargiya, are contesting the polls and they were seen camping in their respective constituencies.From Thursday, they started venturing out in other constituencies, joining candidates in their nomination filing.
