Kochi: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Monday hit out at RSS and BJP, alleging that they "stand for centralisation of power", unlike Congress.

Addressing UDF Mahapanchayat in Kochi, Gandhi hailed the alliance workers for the performance in the Kerala panchayat elections, where it gained a majority in 382 gram panchayats, 75 block panchayats and six district panchayats.

As the state is scheduled to hold assembly elections later this year, Gandhi expressed confidence in Congress-led alliance's victory. He said, "We had many meetings where senior leaders came to Delhi, and in those meetings, different people had different opinions... I said that UDF is going to win the panchayat and Vidhan Sabha elections."
