BJP slams Congress chief Kharge for demeaning Gujarat & Bihar, demands apology
At an election rally in Kerala’s Idukki district, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge claimed that Kerala’s people are educated and cannot be misled, unlike those in Gujarat and some other states. He also allegedly called the RSS and BJP “poisonous snakes,” prompting BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad to condemn the remarks as “shameless, demeaning, and utterly despicable.” Prasad demanded a public apology from Kharge and questioned whether Rahul, Sonia, and Priyanka Gandhi endorse his comments. The controversy has ignited a nationwide political clash ahead of the upcoming elections.
