BJP Jharkhand election in-charge and Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday announced that the party would implement NRC if it comes to power in the state.
"This election is to save the state. The demography of the state is changing due to infiltration from Bangladesh," Chouhan said. "Post the elections, the citizenship register will be prepared, and all illegal immigrants would be thrown out of the state." Chouhan said the party will soon launch a detailed manifesto called Sankalp Patra for the upcoming state elections. BJP leaders from Jharkhand arrived in Delhi on Monday for a meeting with Amit Shah regarding the candidate selection before the party's CEC meeting.
