J&K polls an agitation, not just election for BJP: G Kishan Reddy
Union minister G Kishan Reddy termed the upcoming assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir as an 'andolan' for the BJP, aiming to safeguard the rights of the people. He criticized the NC-Congress alliance, alleging it seeks to reinstate Article 370,...

"BJP took a historic step in August 2019 but this black coalition of NC and Congress want to bring back Article 370 whose abrogation has liberated the people of J&K and given them the rights enshrined in the Constitution of Babasaheb Ambedkar," said Reddy. To ensure that the rights of people of J&K are not snatched again, the BJP will work hard to keep the "dark forces" away in the interest of the people of J&K, he said.
The BJP minister alleged that 46,000 people have been killed in J&K since 1947 because of the follies of the Congress, Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. He said the Congress has again joined hands with the Abdullahs of NC to destroy the region.
"Rahul-Omar friendship and coalition is aimed at snatching the rights of SCs (scheduled castes), STs (scheduled tribes), women and other underprivileged groups of people. This election is an agitation to prevent them from doing so," said Reddy. He said NC keeps talking about dialogue with Pakistan for vote bank politics but its alliance partner Congress is silent on the issue. "It is strange that NC is advocating Pakistan instead of advocating the stance of the Indian government. Atalji and Modi both visited Pakistan and extended the hand of friendship, but they (Pakistan) don't want friendship. They want to destroy India," said Reddy.
"On one side they kill our soldiers and these parties want to start a dialogue with them."
He said the BJP aims to put J&K on the path of development instead of violence, but the Congress, NC and PDP want to bring back the separatist ecosystem.
