The party leaders are eagerly waiting for the release of Engineer Rashid, whose bail order has been reserved and is slotted on September 11 in a Delhi court. The party also released another list of candidates for the assembly elections which include Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh, brother of Engineer Rashid, who recently took a premature retirement from government services.
The AIP leaders promised that is they are votes to power no innocent youth will be in jails and they will strive for revocation of Public Safety Act and UAPA.
The party has also promised that there will be a complete ban on liquor sale in J&K and free medical tests will be conducted in the hospitals across J&K. They also promised restoration of Darbar move practice of the administration between summer captial Srinagar and winter capital Jammu. They would also strive to restore autonomy of University of Kashmir.
